The Timeline is a mostly linear progression of events as experienced by OCESS and its membership. Due to OCESS' frequent use of time travel, and according to the Many-worlds interpretation, all events modified by time travel continue to exist unaltered in their original universe, implying that the Timeline exists across multiple universes. As such, the timeline follows the history of the universe somewhat linearly until OCESS' inception, after which it largely follows OCESS as an organization and the Admiral, rather than any of its individual members. Any time that OCESS notably changes the timeline and, as a result, the universe in which it primarily operates, a separate instance is created and linked below. The Slipstream is the mechanism for most time travel, intentional or accidental.

OCESS Timeline
Pre-Humanity
13.8 bya
Universe was created. The mechanism by which it was created is up to debate; the most commonly accepted theory is the Big Bang.
4.5 bya
Earth was created. Gravity pulled in dust and gas that was floating in space to form a terrestrial planet.(1)
Before 2.75 bya
Ethan emerges from the Slipstream after falling into it as a child.
Pre-OBESS
1970
The Planetary Protection Society is founded by members from Canada, South Korea, and Australia with the goal of preserving the natural order of non-Earth celestial bodies and preventing human interference.
1975
Transverse The World is founded by entrepeneur Robert Tirnof in Saskatoon.
OBESS Era
1986
The Ontario Bureau for Exploration and Settlement of Space was founded by the Admiral (then Terry Pritchett) and Evan Turing with the goal of involving the younger generation in space exploration, as well as getting Canada more active in the world of space exploration.
1987
OBESS' first-ever mission, Turak 1987, is launched with a six-man crew. Anya and Alexei Karsolo, two cosmonauts from the USSR, are among the astronauts.
1988
OBESS' second-ever mission, Deja 1988, is launched with a six-man crew, including three returning Turak astronauts. Habitat Commander Andrew Miles is killed on a maintenance EVA due to an unplanned venting of the AYSE drive module; this was either a freak accident or the doing of the newly-installed Deepmind artificial intelligence.
1989
OBESS stops conducting independent missions due to Miles' death. The ISSS invites several OBESS members to join their mission, Luna 1989.
