Welcome to the Ottawa Carleton Educational Space Simulation Wiki.
Hello Alumni!
SARP was super fun. With all the alumni showing up, we think it would be great if they could add whatever they know about their time in spacesim, as well as a member page for themselves.
To sign up for an account, email our webmaster your chosen username, password, and email (if you want to attach your account to your email address) and he will make an account. This procedure is to discourage the Russian spambots from invading the wiki.
Once the wiki account has been created, our brilliant webmaster will also create a forum account for you. The forums are located in this part of the internet, however they are down at the moment. This is related to the server outage that happened right before SARP.
Suggestions for things to alumni to do:
- Make an account (Mail our webmaster your preferred username and password, and he will make a forum and wiki account)
- Add yourself on the List of Members
- Get the member page template from Member
- Make a Members page
- Add some lore
- Add yourself to the Mailing List
Introduction
Commonly known as Spacesim, the OCESS is a non-profit organisation dedicated to learning and teaching about Space, Space Science, and Space Exploration.
This Wiki is designed to replace the Big Book of Sim, which was an endeavour to capture the history of Spacesim in an easily readable format. By using the Wiki system, we hope to encourage alumni of Spacesim to drop in and give their two cents' worth on Sim History and Sim Lore.
Now that the Wiki has some content, it should not be ignored as an important source of information on Spacesim's history, procedures, and lore. However, it should not be regarded as static, and in fact, you are all encouraged to add articles about anything remotely related to Spacesim. Don't forget to clean up currently existing articles, and add content to all those that are underwritten.
This is the one way we will be able to preserve the memory of Spacesim forever, so stop procrastinating, and DO SOMETHING!
Enjoy!
