Decompression refers to the removal of gas or other substance from a module that causes its ambient pressure to decrease. Unless initiated by Mission Control or by the Habitat EECOM, decompression is a disaster and should be treated as an emergency. However, decompression is necessary to allow EVA or IVA without wasting any of the Habitat's atmosphere.

The opposite of decompression is pressurization

Monitoring

The pressure of each module is monitored in kilo-Pascals on EECOM.

Safety

A Standard Atmosphere, denoted as a green module on EECOM is N2=78 02=20 CO2=0.03
