Each Mission must have one or more mission objectives. Without an objective to accomplish, there is no way to justify the expenditure of time, energy, and funds on running a mission.
Mission Objectives
Possible mission objectives include, but are not limited to:
- Flags and footprints: We landed, we did it. Pats on backs all around.
- Experiments: Also known as Science Objectives, these are destination-driven and environment-driven
- Testing: A mission may be launched to test a specific procedure or piece of equipment
Training Missions
For Training Missions run in the gamma reality, the mission can be ended, and debrief begun once all mission objectives have been completed. Since all training missions have the overarching objective of training their participants, other mission objectives are subordinate to whatever specific element is being trained.
