As for the dispute over the number of eyes I SEE NO REASON FOR ACCURACY. Even more, many eyes have been lost so that there would be room to mount the door card, tape loosening, etc.
I believe we should just edit the page to just say the original calculation / joke "Eight people... Thousands of them..."
Also it is very difficult to get a good count of the eyes as most of them are covered.
