A callsign is a pseudonym that radio operators such as CAPCOM will use to refer to a specific person. In recent times, its usage has also become a friendly nickname, part of the general Spacesim culture. It is also used by certain members who have trouble remembering names as an alternative to the real thing.
Toilets
In 2009-10 the chemical toilets in the bathroom were labelled with the astronauts' callsigns instead of their names, as had been done in previous years.
