1.5.10 Planetary Launch Procedure
- Follow procedures in P1.5.3 and P1.5.4.1 steps 1 to 5
- Select the current planet as reference and target object (see P1.5.4.1)
- Press F4 for automatic depart from target orientation.
- Press 'v' to activate approach velocity vector.
- Increase thrust to exceed local gravity by at least 1 m/s/s and AYSE drive will lift off.
- Adjust thrust to maintain the desired lift-off speed.
- Press F1 for manual orientation control.
- Gradually rotate the AYSE drive counter-clockwise until the orientation is perpendicular to the direction back to the planet.
- Press F2 for automatic ccw orbit ref orientation.
- If the approach velocity vector is pointing away from the planet:
- Press F3 for automatic approach to targ orientation.
- Use slight thrust to restore correct approach velocity vector.
- If the approach velocity vector is pointing towards the planet:
- Press F4 for automatic depart from ref orientation.
- Use slight thrust to restore correct approach velocity vector.
- Press F2 to restore automatic ccw orbit ref orientation.
- If Vhab-ref is less than Vo ref, use positive thrust to increase Vhab-ref.
- If Vhab-ref is more than Vo ref, use reverse thrust to decrease Vhab-ref.
- Stop engines.
