Benjamin Seguin; also referred to as Beta, is a "respected" member of OCESS.

Ben joined the club in 2016, and has been a hard-working member ever since. Post-2019, Ben has filled a more loose role as a general supervisor to the current commanders willing to give advice on leadership (Who gave him this authority, however, is still under question).

2016-17

  • Mission: Blue Dawn 2017.
  • Role: EECOM Officer.
  • Comment: Went off very smoothly considering it was many of the Astro's first mission in the hab, though what "smoothly" means changes from person to person.

2017-18

  • Mission: Silver Seas 2018.
  • Role: Engineering Officer.
  • Comment: An amazing year, in terms of interpersonal relations between the Astros. How smoothly the mission actually went, once, again varies depending on who you ask.

2018-19

  • Mission: Psychedelia 2019.
  • Role: Habitat Commander.
  • Comment: This was a very challenging year for many of us, we lost a few members and it's not something I'd like to see again. However, despite that, we managed to pull through. Memorable to say the least.

2019-20

  • Mission: Hindsight 2020.
  • Role: Flight Director/ General Supervisor.
  • Comment: I have a less involved perspective. However, I think it went very well, and the current commanders did an incredibly good job under the circumstances.

Some Laughs

  • Ben managed to cool down the core reactor after another officer somehow overheated it to an extreme temperature of nearly 200 degrees Celcius.
  • Ben managed to plug a real toilet with the run-off from his chemical one, and had to knock it loose with a stick.
  • Ben's girlfriend had to bail him and three members out of a snowstorm in her car, and drive them to 440.
  • Ben's "Prop-off" with Michael never happened, as he sadly left the club post-2018 ;-;.
  • Since Michael was the main character of the Spacesim show, it's the main explanation as to why things are as they are. Cast members are leaving left and right, spin-off shows are the norm now.
