We were planning to employ our exploration robot for this mission, but were unsucessful in getting it opperational in time.

We sustained a rather violent impact on Venus, and due to gravitational flux, our [[AYSE drive]] unit lost its orbit and was destroyed by a violent crash onto Venus.

During the mission, we had several sightings of [[hab gnome]]s inside the power box, and even on the planetary surface. Our hab commander was attacked by one such creature, and became infected with an unknown virus. As a result, a quarantine was imposed. Our acting hab commander, Stefan Deyoung, rashly decided to risk himself and attend to Stephen in the quarantine room, thus forfieting his command integrity by exposing himself to the virus. We managed to destroy the virus by exposing the quarantined area to vacume by venting the atmosphere in the room. Under the joint command of Brian Foo, and Nevin Hotson, we retourned sucessfully to Earth.

Daedalus could also refer to the first Mission Daedalus, or Mission Alpha (2006).

The 2010 Mission to Io, Ganymede and Europa, or Mission Daedalus, was the first mission in the Hawking III, with the exception of the brief Genesis. The name was voted on by an assembly of members during a meeting; it was proposed by Chen-tao LaRochelle.

Mission Purpose

On Io, the astronauts were to collect samples of volcanic dust ejected by tectonic activity on the moon's surface for analysis. They were to land on Ganymede to set up Terraforming equipment, and on Europa to deploy an unmanned submersible in Europa's liquid water ocean to explore it and its rocky planetary core. One of the mission's driving thesis was of there having life on Europa.
