Payload Specialist

The Payload Specialist is the member of the astronaut crew who is responsible for overseeing the conduct of experiments, and the use of any specialized payload needed for the mission to obtain the required scientific information. This astronaut will received specialized training from the Mission Scientist associated with that Experiment.
