Sim Culture

Spacesim culture is long and rich, with numerous inside jokes and references. Only after being continually exposed to Spacesim members does one realize the depth of Spacesim culture.

Many Spacesim inside jokes are centered on events that have happened during missions and work sessions, as well as science math and dirty humour. Geek culture also influences Spacesim culture.

There is a notable diffeence between the Sim Culture of the Spacesim Office and the Sim Culture of worksessions, perhaps a biproduct of the size of the office or of the members who primarily spend time in one or the other. It is also possible that the work-centred environment of work sessions allows members to be more focussed and calm than in the Spacesim office, where they are usually not working. Many prominent and potential members alike who have ventured into the office and subsequently attend a work session have noted surprise at how calm and quiet work sessions are by contrast.
