This article is about Space Sim Lore. It contains anecdotes or Spacesim mythology.

The Pink Water incident is one of the earliest incidents involving the simulators. The astronauts' drinking-water supply became contaminated and appeared pink during Mission Pluto 1995. The astronauts were required to perform tests upon the water to determine if it was still safe. Even after the tests indicated that the water was potable, and Mission Control insisted that it was safe, the astronauts refused to drink the water.

The Sim Office is full of Pink Water newspaper articles that are completely unrelated to the Spacesim Pink Water incident. These articles from around the world show real-world examples of water turning pink.

In a letter to members in 1995, alumna Innie Chen asked what colour the water would turn during that year's mission, Triton 1996.
