Mormon Jesus is the name of Spacesim's autopilot system.

Creation

Originally designed by Spencer Whitehead, Mormon Jesus was first a machine learning algorithm, designed as one of 3 parts to an Artificial Intelligence project. Spencer theorized that the algorithm could be applied to the Spacesim Orbit software, and so he began creating a branch of Mormon Jesus that could be used to fly the hab.

How it Works

Mormon Jesus uses a bunch of really complicated math. Add magic to the math, and it can fly the hab (somehow). Even Spencer isn't really sure how it works, but it does. CostFunctionReg.png This is the Regularized Cost Function, which apparently can be used to grade the success of an attempt to fly

Mormon Jesus Take the Hab

Due to its questionable name (whose origins are not known), and its role in Spacesim, Mormon Jesus had a song created for it: Mormon Jesus Take the Hab, to the tune of Carrie Underwood's Jesus Take the Wheel. The music remained the same, with new lyrics arranged by Spencer Whitehead. The new lyrics were "sung" by Google Translate.
