The song "(We All Live In A) Drywall Habitat" is a parody song of The Beatles famous song "(We All Live In A) Yellow Submarine" where the lyrics are changed from a bunch of people having fun underwater in a yellow submarine, to that of a bunch of astronauts having fun in interplanetary space. The song involves the astronauts running around the Habitat screaming the lyrics at the top of their lungs and banging very hard on every wall of the habitat. Some speculate the astronauts were trying to lure aliens to the spacecraft, and others just felt they wanted to ignore mission integrity and annoy MC sitting on the other side of the walls.

Origins

The "Drywall Habitat" song was first sung during the 2008-09 mission Genesis to Iapetus when all the astronauts were extremely tired, but energetic, and thus began the song which was sung for long periods of time starting in late evening and ending around midnight. During the mission there were no 'set' lyrics, but afterwards the lyrics to the song were typed up and posted on the wall of the habitat by Maclean Rouble.
