This article is about Space Sim Lore. It contains anecdotes or Spacesim mythology.

Transports first came into the OCESS repertoire on the 2005-06 Mission. For their entertainment, the Astronauts brought along an Axis & Allies set and played two games during their spare time. During this game, the infamous transports destroyed

  • an RAF bomber
  • two Kriegsmarine submarines
  • half a Yamato-class battleship
  • several Luftwaffe and RAF fighters

and in doing so, managed to score a hit ratio of about 50%; which is quite impressive as the average hit ratio for a transport is about 16%. These transports valiantly defended against the enemy and went beyond their call of duty in doing so. As a reward for their service, they were added to the 2005-2006 Blame List.

It should also be noted that the methoods with which the transports could feasably damage a battleship or gun down high-flying bombers with only light AAA remains a mystery.
