Mr. Prichett was a teacher at Lisgar Collegiate Institute for over thirty years, where he founded the OBESS.

Accomplishments

Though primarily a physics teacher, he was also heavily involved in student activities. He was the teacher advisor of the Student Enrichment Committee, the University Mini-courses administrator, and the Shad Valley International liaison. He was the also the founder of the Ottawa Board of Education Space Simulation and an important member of the ISSS. In 1996, Mr. Prichett received the Prime Minister's Award for Excellence in Teaching of Science, Technology, and Mathematics, primarily due to his contributions to the Space Simulation program.

To the Space Simulation members, Mr. Prichett's support was invaluable. He aided his students in many different endeavours, such as the establishment of the Elementary Education Programs. Without the dedication and enthusiasm that Mr. Prichett provided the OCESS would have been unable to continue.

Terry Pritchett also received a 1995 Certificate of Excellence from the Prime Minister's Awards for Teaching Excellence, in part because of his involvement in Spacesim.

Flight Suit

Mr. Pritchett's flight suit still resides at Spacesim, and is worn regularly by training mission astronauts.
