The Pink Water incident is one of the earliest incidents involving the simulators. The astronauts' drinking-water supply became contaminated and appeared pink. The astronauts were required to perform tests upon the water to determine if it was still safe. Even after the tests indicated that the water was potable, and Mission Control insisted that it was safe, the astronauts refused to drink the water
