This article is about Space Sim Lore. It contains anecdotes or Spacesim mythology.

Some of the paintings.

The paintings are very large works created by the Lisgar Art club during a period of cooperation with Spacesim. The paintings depict astronauts, launches, space landscapes, and Star Wars characters. They are very large and mostly serve as dividers, often between Mission Control and the Habitat during Missions, or to prevent astronauts from seeing the planetary surface before the mission. During these times they are covered with large, black tarps so as not to distract from the setting. One of the paintings, which shows Luke Skywalker exiting his ship after a crash landing on Hoth, hangs in the longhouse.

Controversy

The paintings are made of canvas, which prompted the school board to deem them fire hazards. Many members thought it was funny, because the paintings (to their knowledge) are painted on fireproof canvas.
