This article is about Space Sim Lore. It contains anecdotes or Spacesim mythology.

There lurks in the Space Simulation's old room at Ottawa Tech a ghost. A very special ghost. Neither feared nor despised, but rather loved and worshipped, it bears the sacred name of Milary. Its spirit infects the denizens of the mission with a cheerful mien, and its occasional visits and secret messages liven up their days. But who is this spirit, this Milary?

Milary

Milary is a pair of ex-mission commanders, Miriam and Hilary. This two-headed beast was present at the first mission and left us for wider pastures many years ago. The creator of the EEPs, this spirit was the mainstay and role model for several generations of simmies.

Milary also participated in many other Lisgar activities. Milary played flute in the Senior Band and ran the Student Enrichment committee, as well as acting as co-head of the Features and Arts And Entertainment sections of the school newspaper, the Lisgarwrite. It was a member of Shalom Lisgar and acted in two school productions, Our Town and Fiddler on the Roof.

There are, of course, differences in the two halves of the beast. Miriam is a ball-room dancing Senior Orchestra member who is now attending the University of Toronto while Hilary is a singing lifeguard at the University of Guelph. But the spirit of Milary will live on at Spacesim.
