Revision as of 12:38, 5 March 2014

These are the logs for the Alpha Centauri 2014 mission. They cover the perspectives of the astros, mc, and the simmies. The MC logs are starting late and are extremely incomplete due to various reasons. The timestamps are different because the logs were taken on different computers, and it will take too much time to make them all follow the same format.

Astro Logs

Mon Feb 24 21:04:33 2014: We are using a slingshot maneuver around Alpha Centauri Albert.

Mon Feb 24 21:05:12 2014: CO2 increases in all rooms.

Mon Feb 24 21:07:28 2014: This is result from us exploring the HAB and taking up oxygen.

Mon Feb 24 21:08:14 2014: Oxygen levels are dropping in CNC.

Mon Feb 24 21:09:13 2014: Oxygen levels are decreasing in hot lab bathroom and airlock.

Mon Feb 24 21:12:08 2014: Oxygen levels dropping reason is unknown and we are trying to determine the cause.

Mon Feb 24 21:14:02 2014: Able crewman Lt. Billig has been sent to investigate the cause of oxygen decrease.

Mon Feb 24 21:21:22 2014: We are currently ignoring the gas increase so that we may carry out the maneuver.

Mon Feb 24 21:23:05 2014: Time stamps are corresponding.

Mon Feb 24 21:23:45 2014: We are turning on AISHA engines.

Mon Feb 24 21:25:44 2014: We are asking what our target should be set to. It is Alpha Centauri Albert.

Mon Feb 24 21:51:44 2014: Oxygen is 0.15 lower in all rooms that are affected (bathroom, hotlab, airlock).

Mon Feb 24 22:42:55 2014: Cmmr. Melanson and Lt. Whitehead have gone to sleep after having dinner with the rest of the astronauts.

Mon Feb 24 22:48:15 2014: Lt. Kelly is on EECOM, Lt Cmdr. Mersereau on CAPCOM. Lt. Theriault and Lt. Billig not on a station.

Mon Feb 24 23:18:05 2014: All flight procedures have been suspended for the night.

Mon Feb 24 23:57:26 2014: Time stamps on both EECOM and Engineering stopped working, so both programs were restarted.

Mon Feb 24 23:58:08 2014: Both programs have functioning timestamps.

February 25th

Tue Feb 25 01:20:07 2014: Asteroid warning detected.

Tue Feb 25 01:47:19 2014: An asteroid has knocked out all lights and most camera feeds.

Tue Feb 25 01:55:08 2014: A control card in the engineering closet was knocked loose. Having reconnected it, all electronics were repaired.

Tue Feb 25 02:05:01 2014: Engineering had some sort of bug. No noticeable symptoms, just de-synched. Had to restart it.

Tue Feb 25 04:14:32 2014: Shift change, Cmdr. Melanson and Lt. Whitehead are now the only active astronauts.

Tue Feb 25 06:28:14 2014: Breakfast is being cooked, pancakes.

Tue Feb 25 08:01:02 2014: Gas Levels: Nitrogen 79.56 across all rooms. Oxygen 19.52 across all rooms. CO2 0.03 in Interlock, bathroom, airlock, hotlab, fluctuating in C&C, Longhouse. Argon 0.97, all rooms, water 1.25 all rooms except C&C at 4.95, dust at 0.025 all rooms, chem and biocontaminants at 0.00 all rooms.

Tue Feb 25 09:07:04 2014: MC is running a simulation to determine the viability of placing a Centauri Communications Relay satellite into orbit at our current altitude, after our burn to correct course to A-Cen B's L2 point

1:20 PM 25/02/2014: AYSE reactor tempurature is at 105.

February 26th

12:18 AM 26/02/2014: Lt. Kelly and Lt. Theriault are beginning their sleep schedule now.

12:41 AM 26/02/2014: The timestamps on EECOM and Engineering have frozen at the exact same time, approx. 50 minutes ago. Restarting both programs.

12:44 AM 26/02/2014: Both programs display working timestamps now. MC believes this was the fault of a bug in the server.

4:01 AM 26/02/2014: Cmdr. Melanson and Lt. Whitehead waking up from their sleep shifts. Lt. Cmdr. Mersereau and Lt. Billig are beginning their sleep shifts.

7:07 AM 26/02/2014: MC has transmitted procedures to burn into the L2 point of Alpha Centauri Bb.

8:37 AM 26/02/2014: Simulations continue.

9:10 AM 26/02/2014: Alpha Emergency. Lt. Kelly has hurt himself while descending from the bunk bed, it is believed to be a displaced fracture roughly 3" below the shin. We will be looking further into the matter and any actions to come of it.

9:20 AM 26/02/2014: Lt. Kelly is waiting for further medical assistance

12:36 PM 2014-02-26: Lt. Kelly suffered an injury at the end of his sleep shift and has been taken to the medbay.

12:48 PM 2014-02-26: The astronauts and both MCs are discussing what short-term goals we hope to achieve.

1:40 PM 2014-02-26: Alpha Centuri B Alpha will now be known as Romanov

1:47 PM 2014-02-26: We decided that we're going to go to Alpha Centauri B Romanov

2:00 PM 2014-02-26: We have discovered that Alpha Centauri B Romanov is too small and light to land on

2:20 PM 2014-02-26: Running simulations to decide on where we're going.

4:05 PM 26/02/2014: The unofficial names for the planets have been finalized. They are: (Alpha Centauri) Aa: Hapsburg, Ab: Barndoon, Ac: Caelan, Ba: New Amsterdam, Bb: Romanov. Ca: Hohen Zappity. Aa is apparently a moon of one of the previous planets, though.
