Hibernation

Hibernation is a metabolic state where the participant remains dormant for long periods of time. In 2013, NASA awarded a $100k grant to study the possibility of using hibernation for long-duration human-spaceflight. The OCESS is currently in talks to modify this technology for use on the annual Mission.
