1990-91 marked another year of exchange missions in the United States through the ISSS. This year's mission also included students from the U.S. and Japan, and for the first time, the U.S.S.R.

The Lisgar group was known within their school as the Student Enrichment Committee, and organised other events besides the Mission such as "International Week."

While away on the Mission, the astronauts went on day trips to visit NASA and the Gulf of Mexico.
