The Weapons Module was a module configured to hold several nuclear warheads. Its function was to defend the Habitat from hostile extraterrestrial actions and to destroy various spatial matter such as asteroids.
A more practical use came to light during the first Mission Daedalus, when the AYSE Drive crashed on Venus. The Admiral ordered the Astronauts to destroy the AYSE drive using the nuclear warheads; however, the release failed.
Currently the weapons module is deactivated and is no longer accessible on the Hawking III. A day may come in the future when a weapons module may be needed. The use of a weapons module was superseded during Revenge Mission 2010 when Laura was equipped with explosives.
