Samuel Baltz joined Spacesim in his grade 11 year, 2009-10, and spends most of his time at Spacesim trying to make up for this by pretending he's important.

Usefulness

Samuel Baltz:

  • made it on the Flight Director list during his 4th month in Spacesim, due to a Training Mission that used a large number of Commanders as astronauts. He is currently scheduled to be a Flight Director during the 2009-10 Mission Daedalus
  • wrote Samuel's Proposal to Rejuvenate EEPs, and plans to actually do something more about that sometime in the future
  • wrote the BIOCOM stats, logistics, and manual, and sat around pretending to help while Peter and Bryce rewrote the program. This qualifies him as the non-commander with the most knowledge about BIOCOM.

Callsign

Approximately two minutes after the start of his first Work Session, Samuel Baltz was assigned the callsign "Finland" due to a confusing chain of logic perpetrated by Euan Wheaton. In easy-to-read graphic format, complete with arrows, it is best summarized by:

Baltz ---> Baltic States ---> Nothing actually even remotely like a Baltic State ---> Finland
