He was the also the founder of the Ottawa Board of Education Space Simulation. In 1996, Mr. Prichett received the Prime Minister's Award for Excellence in Teaching of Science, Technology, and Mathematics, primarily due to his contributions to the Space Simulation program.
To the Space Simulation members, Mr. Prichett's support was invaluable. He aided his students in many different endeavors, such as the establishment of the Elementary Education Programs. Without the dedication and enthusiasm that Mr. Prichett provided the OCESS would have been unable to continue.
