To run a club such as Spacesim, a basic command structure has been developed. Although this structure has been changed as possitions are added and taken away, the structure retains a general form. The general form consists of three layers of administration as follows.

Layout

Executive Branch

The Executive branch of the administration deals with running Spacesim as a whole. This group of people consists of the admiral and the two Mission Commanders. These people have sweaping powers over all aspects of Sim and are expected to manage it as a whole; looking after the budget, administering projects, and such things.

Subcommanders

The subcommanders are considered one under the executive branch. Their job is to cover the specific branches of Sim. These include the EEP Commander and the Planetarium Commander who are responsible for the educational branch of Sim. The PR Director who is in charge of public relations for Spacesim, is also a subcommander as is the Webmaster. The Task Force Coordinator may also be included under this labeling, but he is more closely accosiated with the labour area of Sim.

Labour Branch

For a long time, there were only two groups of administrators in Spacesim who directed the general workings of the club. However, they tended not to focus on directing the progress of the Friday night worksessions; having better things to worry about. Thus, in order to improve efficiency during the worksessions, Spacesim has recently added another branch to its administration. The Labour Branch is responsible for directing the Friday worksessions. This branch is relatively new and includes the Task Force Coordinator, who administers the task forces in general, and the Task Force Leaders who lead their individual task forces. Occasionally the Simulator Coordinator is mentioned here, as he leads the simulator-oriented task forces.
