These are the logs for the Alpha Centauri 2014 mission. They cover the perspectives of the astros, mc, and the simmies. The MC logs are starting late and are extremely incomplete due to various reasons. The timestamps are different because the logs were taken on different computers, and it will take too much time to make them all follow the same format.

Mon Feb 24 23:18:05 2014: All flight procedures have been suspended for the night.

Mon Feb 24 23:57:26 2014: Time stamps on both EECOM and Engineering stopped working, so both programs were restarted.

February 25th

Tue Feb 25 01:20:07 2014: Asteroid warning detected.

Tue Feb 25 01:31:50 2014: Asteroid collision detected.

Tue Feb 25 01:47:19 2014: An asteroid has knocked out all lights and most camera feeds.

Tue Feb 25 01:55:08 2014: A control card in the engineering closet was knocked loose. Having reconnected it, all electronics were repaired.

Tue Feb 25 02:05:01 2014: Engineering had some sort of bug. No noticeable symptoms, just de-synched. Had to restart it.

Tue Feb 25 04:14:32 2014: Shift change, Cmdr. Melanson and Lt. Whitehead are now the only active astronauts.

Tue Feb 25 06:28:14 2014: Breakfast is being cooked, pancakes.

Tue Feb 25 08:01:02 2014: Gas Levels: Nitrogen 79.56 across all rooms. Oxygen 19.52 across all rooms. CO2 0.03 in Interlock, bathroom, airlock, hotlab, fluctuating in C&C, Longhouse. Argon 0.97, all rooms, water 1.25 all rooms except C&C at 4.95, dust at 0.025 all rooms, chem and biocontaminants at 0.00 all rooms.

Tue Feb 25 09:07:04 2014: MC is running a simulation to determine the viability of placing a Centauri Communications Relay satellite into orbit at our current altitude, after our burn to correct course to A-Cen B's L2 point

1:20 PM 25/02/2014: AYSE reactor tempurature is at 105.

1:30 PM 25/02/2014: Defrosting hamburgers.

1:36 PM 25/02/2014: We are burning at 95 until we have an intercept with Alpha Centauri B.

2:01 PM 25/02/2014: The piloting software does not account for the gravity of Alpha Centauri A, so the periapsis does not give an accurate prediction of our flight path.

2:25 PM 25/02/2014: Crewmembers are alpha-ill.

2:39 PM 25/02/2014: Cmdr. Melanson has taken over for Lt. Theriault, who is currently taking some time off for health reasons.

2:41 PM 25/02/2014: We are coasting towards Alpha Centauri B at a time step of 60.

2:46 PM 25/02/2014: The Astros and MC are evaluating how much fuel we need to get home, then determining what is an acceptable rate of fuel consumption during our time acceleration.

2:52 PM 25/02/2014: Cmdr Melanson and MC are running calculations to determine the remaining delta-v in the AYSE drive.

3:07 PM 25/02/2014: MC's calculations have been completed.

3:13 PM 25/02/2014: Cmdr Melanson has asked MC for the fuel used during the transfer burn to Alpha Centauri.

3:16 PM 25/02/2014: 440 MC asks if we have the heat gun on-board. Lt. Billig is checking.

3:17 PM 25/02/2014: Cmdr. Melanson is also checking for a heat gun.

3:19 PM 25/02/2014: We have not found a heat gun on-board.

3:24 PM 25/02/2014: Cmdr Melanson is still working on calculations.

3:26 PM 25/02/2014: These calculations are not necessary in order to progress with the mission but it will be more difficult to do them later.

3:38 PM 25/02/2014: MC wants us to stop time acceleration at approximately 100,000,000 km from A.C.A.

3:45 PM 25/02/2014: We have stopped time accelerating.

3:47 PM 25/02/2014: We are now following the Mission Day 2 Plan.

6:41 PM 25/02/2014: The anticipated fuel usage is approximately 70,000 kg + approximately 15,000 kg for possible course corrections. The plans entail a 1.1 hour burn.

7:01 PM 25/02/2014: Burn completed. We are now coasting.

7:12 PM 25/02/2014: We've lost connection to Lisgar MC.

7:16 PM 25/02/2014: Connection regained.

7:16 PM 25/02/2014: The plan dictates that we go into hibernation for 50 days with time acceleration at 60 time step until we are near our destination

7:23 PM 25/02/2014: We are hesitant to enter hibernation because we are unsure of how we'll know when to leave hibernation.

February 26th

12:18 AM 26/02/2014: Lt. Clarke and Lt. Theriault are beginning their sleep schedule now.

12:41 AM 26/02/2014: The timestamps on EECOM and Engineering have frozen at the exact same time, approx. 50 minutes ago. Restarting both programs.

12:44 AM 26/02/2014: Both programs display working timestamps now. MC believes this was the fault of a bug in the server.

4:01 AM 26/02/2014: Cmdr. Melanson and Lt. Whitehead waking up from their sleep shifts. Lt. Cmdr. Mersereau and Lt. Billig are beginning their sleep shifts.

7:07 AM 26/02/2014: MC has transmitted procedures to burn into the L2 point of Alpha Centauri Bb.

8:32 AM 26/02/2014: MC moving to Lisgar.

8:37 AM 26/02/2014: Simulations continue.

9:10 AM 26/02/2014: Alpha Emergency. Lt. Clarke has hurt himself while descending from the bunk bed, it is believed to be a displaced fracture roughly 3" below the shin. We will be looking further into the matter and any actions to come of it.

9:20 AM 26/02/2014: Lt. Clarke is waiting for further medical assistance

12:36 PM 2014-02-26: Lt. Clarke suffered an injury at the end of her sleep shift and has been taken to the medbay.

12:41 PM 2014-02-26: We are currently running simulations to find a good orbit in the L2 Lagrange point.

12:46 PM 2014-02-26: Cmdr. Melanson believes it is more time-efficient to simply leave AYSE in orbit around the planet.

12:48 PM 2014-02-26: The astronauts and both MCs are discussing what short-term goals we hope to achieve.

4:05 PM 26/02/2014: The unofficial names for the planets have been finalized. They are: (Alpha Centauri) Aa: Hapsburg, Ab: Barndoon, Ac: Caelan, Ba: New Amsterdam, Bb: Romanov. Ca: Hohen Zappity. Aa is apparently a moon of one of the previous planets, though.

4:11 PM 26/02/2014: We have performed laser spectrometry tests on the planets in the Alpha Centauri system and are still deciding which will be our destination.

4:37 PM 26/02/2014: We've chosen the destination of Alpha Centauri Bb.

4:39 PM 26/02/2014: We will be performing a burn towards Bb.

4:51 PM 26/02/2014: We missed our burn by 3 hours, now we are aiming for an ACC of 1.2
